My name is Kristie Benavidez, and I am a fourth grade teacher at Scarborough Elementary School. I would like to take a few moments to share a little bit about myself.
I graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 2003 and began teaching in Duncanville I.S.D., where I worked as a third grade teacher for four years. As luck would have it, my husband's job relocated us to San Antonio, my true home. I have been a Scarborough Husky since the school opened in 2008 teaching 3rd and 4th grade.
On a personal note, I have been married to my complete opposite for almost five years, and we share two amazing children-our 22 year old daughter, Cassandra-who is not only beautiful but also very successful and our three year old son, Cas-who is very charismatic and precocious! They are our hearts.
Parents, I will be communicating with you this year through e-mails, notes, newsletters, agendas, website, and phone calls. It is vital that we keep each other informed about your child in order to ensure his/her success. Please feel free to contact me anytime. Our goal is to make this school year a rewarding, fun-filled, and memorable one!
My name is Chelsea R. Romero. I will be
student teaching in Ms. Benavidez’s
classroom this semester. I am currently in my last semester at the University of the Incarnate Word, and look forward to spending this time teaching your children alongside Ms. Benavidez.
I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas but came to San Antonio to pursue my degree in Education. I come from a family of teachers and have always known that teaching was something I was born to do.
Some of my hobbies are reading, watching movies, and looking around for new or interesting education ideas. I know that this semester will be filled with tons of learning opportunities for your children.
I am so excited to work with your children! I know that each of them has a great deal of potential and I am eager to see them achieve and succeed!!
