Welcome! My name is Kristie Benavidez, and I am a fourth grade teacher at Scarborough Elementary School. I would like to take a few moments to share a little bit about myself.
I graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 2003 and began teaching in Duncanville I.S.D., where I worked as a third grade teacher for four years. As luck would have it, my husband's job relocated us to San Antonio, my true home. I have been a Scarborough Husky since the school opened in 2008 teaching 3rd and 4th grade.
On a personal note, I have been married to my complete opposite for almost five years, and we share two amazing children-our 22 year old daughter, Cassandra-who is not only beautiful but also very successful and our three year old son, Cas-who is very charismatic and precocious! They are our hearts.
Parents, I will be communicating with you this year through e-mails, notes, newsletters, agendas, website, and phone calls. It is vital that we keep each other informed about your child in order to ensure his/her success. Please feel free to contact me anytime. Our goal is to make this school year a rewarding, fun-filled, and memorable one!
With Love, Mrs. Benavidez
